Uprising introduces an entirely new strategic campaign set on an expansive map of the former United States. Take command of the developing Resistance and decide how to survive and triumph against Legion and other hostile factions.
After the events of the We Are Legion DLC, Lieutenant Church departs on a critical mission to the north, leaving command of the Resistance in your hands.
Conquest Mode Highlights
Freeform sandbox gameplay – Build your own campaign across a strategic map of 22 sectors.
Living, dynamic world – Factions (Legion, Cartel, Integrators, Movement, Marauders) act independently, attacking and defending with no pre-scripted paths.
Player-driven choices – Choose your approach: storm enemy bases (key sectors), assist allies, or conduct raids to gather loot and weaken nearby enemies.
Strategic Map
22 sectors, each with its own tactical map (including 4 brand-new maps) and unique rewards.
Regular and key sectors: losing all key sectors removes a faction from the conflict; capturing more strengthens their survival chances.
Isolation mechanics: sectors cut off from key regions (except Legion's) fall under Marauder control.
Resource Management
Supply and Manpower are the two primary resources.
Sectors provide daily income and increase storage limits. You can skip days to accelerate income.
Even with low resources, your army stays operational — but you’ll need to plan resupply missions for repairs and rearming.
Faction Dynamics
Legion – Aggressive, capable of long-range raids into distant sectors.
Cartel – Cunning allies of Legion; dangerous but vulnerable if isolated from key sectors.
Movement – Your allies. Protect their key sectors to fully integrate them into the Resistance.
Integrators – Neutral. Can trade tech, offer safe passage, and expand your global store if allied.
Marauders – Opportunistic threat to isolated regions. Initially passive, but their rise into a United Marauder Gang, The One Sun, marks a turning point.
Game Phases
Planning and Management Phase – Scout enemy movements, review sector rewards, train units, upgrade vehicles, and buy new units from the global store.
Action Phase – Choose to attack, defend, assist allies, or skip a turn. Factions then execute their strategies across the map.
Mission Types
Assault – Capture or defend key sectors.
Domination – Control all points or eliminate all enemy units, including reinforcements.
Total Elimination – Deplete the enemy’s starting points through combat and zone control.
Convoy Attack – Escort or intercept a convoy mission.
Capture and Hold – One control point, one timer, two teams. Maintain control to win.
Additional Objectives
Call for Help – Rescue survivors for rewards.
Suspicious Activity – Scout and weaken enemy reinforcements.
Forward Supply Base – Destroy logistics hubs to cripple enemy capacity.
Note: Each sector may include multiple mission types and side objectives, which can shift based on whether you are attacking or defending.
New Content
Assault Support Helicopter – A versatile combat platform (not designed for transport).
New Maps and Units – Four new tactical maps, newly controllable infantry units (e.g., Cartel Templars, Integrator Pioneers), and vehicle upgrades including Integrator technology.
Global Store – Your persistent interface for purchasing units and upgrades, with a rotating inventory influenced by strategic conditions.
Victory Conditions and Achievements
Primary Objective – Capture Legion’s key sectors and destroy their main production base.
Optional Achievements – Preserve the Movement, choose to ally with or destroy the Integrators.
Post-Campaign Mode – Continue playing to eliminate all factions and unlock an additional achievement.
Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance: Uprising DLC offers true strategic freedom, a living world in motion, and an endless struggle for control over the remnants of America. Are you ready to lead the Resistance?
