In a world of mechanical ruins, abandoned locations and remnants from a past time that has been now left just a memory, you are taking the role of a young teenager, Jackie from the ghetto who wants to get out of poverty and embark on a journey of learning about the outside and yourself.

The world has definitely gone quite a bit crazy, though it has never actually been normal in the first place, but maybe now is the chance for you to change that. Crisis is usually a time for action and taking decisive steps... except for the fact that it is really scary, because every step can set you back far. Should that mean to be stuck in familiarity forever? What is else is there to be found or experienced? Are you ready to break the chains of your own life that have always kept you limited up to now?

Sometimes it is very difficult to choose the correct path, but do not be scared, you can always repeat your steps and learn from past mistakes as best as possible. Risking is a major part of life and we should sometimes embrace it in order to free our minds of our own minds.

Jackie is to learn that to get to a new place you must first make a jump and get off the ground, not knowing what will happen in the future at all...Such existential lessons await you and perhaps you would be able to find some of the answers you are seeking through this captivating storyline.

“Only Up!" is actually inspired by the famous "Jack and the Beanstalk" fairytale and somewhat resembles of a cool platformer version of it, with lots of exploration potential. You are going to follow the same mythological path as Jack in order to achieve something more than just climbing to the very top. Discover different stages of your journey with their specific environments, style and design included.

Among the main features of the game is the ability to slow down time and change the speed of your character as you please and in order to be as collected as possible when making an important step or jump. The game also contains hundreds of Easter eggs and various references to be discovered by the player, so there should be hardly a dull moment in its progression.

The game will require concentration, precision and patience but remember... the journey of 10,000 steps always begins with the initial first one...
