This beloved indie strategy game series takes on a new unexpected direction that would surprise even the most dedicated fans! It was supposed to be just a summer camp experience like any other: breaths of fresh air, a well-deserved change of scenery, meeting with new friendly faces, everything that you have been looking forward to after a long year.
After all, anything would be better than staying at home and constantly hearing your parents argue day in and day out about meaningless stuff, right?
Yeah, that’s what you thought. Because a few days in, you have already started to hear weird sounds after dusk, and began seeing strange odd shapes roaming around with... glowing in the dark scarlet eyes that stare at you!?
Kingdom Eighties is a completely new, standalone title in the award-winning micro-strategy series, Kingdom: A love letter to the nostalgic days of joyful bike riding, pleasant summer camp experiences, and sitting around in your pajamas on a Saturday morning in front of the TV.
You are going to play as The Leader, a young camp counselor that would have to protect their family and the entire town at any cost from the relentless and cruel attacks of the mysterious Greed. The young neighborhood kids will all be at your side, and you are going to also find some new friends along the way: The Champ, the Tinkerer, and the Wiz would lend you their important skills and support in battle.
Try and discover what is the secret of the “Crown of the Creation”, and why are the Greed trying so much to steal it? What mysterious powers does it hold, for it to be that important and special!?
New and returning Monarchs: Grab your bikes and get ready for a Summer of Greed!
A KINGDOM GAME FOR BOTH VETERANS AND NEWCOMERS ALIKE
By building upon the well-known mechanics in the Kingdom series, Kingdom Eighties adds up a completely new storytelling approach. Recruit the neighborhood kids and assign them different roles such as builders or soldiers, and expand your territory while uncovering the secrets of your family lineage, the cruel Greed, and the mysterious Crown of Creation that they seek!
ALWAYS STRONGER WHEN ACTING TOGETHER AS A TEAM
Kingdom Eighties delivers you with the story of four very unlikely heroes and their strong friendship. You are in the role of The Leader, and the fate of the town lingers and depends on your choices, but you do not have to ride alone: The Champ, The Tinkerer and The Wiz are here to join your band and help you in the fight, each coming with their respective and unique abilities to use in your adventure.
HIT THE STREETS IN STYLE AND FREE THEM OF GREED
The summer camp is actually just the beginning of your adventure! You would have to travel through a variety of different locations that have never been seen before in the Kingdom series. Discover some fresh sets of wheels at the skateboard park, visit the exclusive shops on Main Street, and free the New Lands Mall from the Greed; all of which are crafted with the distinctive and mesmerizing pixel-art of the Kingdom series.
