“FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse” originally launched in Japan in 2008 as the fourth entry in the FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO series. Following the remaster of “FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water,” this beloved chapter returns with upgraded visuals and enhanced presentation.
About the Game
During a festival on Rogetsu Isle, a group of children mysteriously disappeared. Though they were eventually found, their memories were gone. Years later, now as teenagers, they return to the island to uncover the truth behind their lost past.
Armed with the Camera Obscura — a mystical camera capable of capturing and sealing away terrifying spirits — and guided only by the faint beam of a flashlight, the girls explore abandoned locations and confront the ghosts that haunt them.
Camera Obscura
This ancient camera is your primary tool for survival. By photographing vengeful ghosts through the viewfinder, you can repel them and seal their power. The Camera Obscura is both a weapon and an investigative device, revealing hidden clues and uncovering paths forward that would otherwise remain unseen.
Exploring Rogetsu Isle
Venture through dim Western-style mansions, deserted hospitals, and other eerie locations illuminated only by moonlight and your flashlight. Examine objects, read old newspaper articles and notes, and piece together disturbing secrets from the past. As memories resurface, the truth behind the island’s haunting slowly unfolds.
