Barotrauma is a quirky 2D co-op submarine simulator with survival horror elements, inspired by games such as FTL: Faster Than Light, Rimworld, Dwarf Fortress and Space Station 13. It’s a very nice Sci-Fi game that effectively combines some greatly crafted ragdoll physics and alien sea monsters that want to get you with practical and synchronized teamwork that goes alongside some existential dread and fear.
In the not too distant future, humanity has managed to fly to Jupiter’s moon EUROPA. With its irradiated icy surface, life can only be found in the ocean below the ice. Travel through a vicious and unforgiving underwater world to discover what lies in the depths of Europa. Stay alert at all times: danger in Barotrauma doesn’t announce itself and never sleeps.
