The Sultan’s Ascend Campaign
Take up arms as the Muslim resistance in a dramatic single-player campaign that chronicles the resistance against the European Crusades. Follow the journeys of iconic Muslim leaders as they struggle against Crusaders and Mongol invaders. This campaign offers players eight immersive missions, including a unique blend of land and naval battles—the first of its kind in an Age of Empires IV campaign.
With new heroes, special abilities, and innovative mechanics, you'll experience the strategies and victories of leaders such as Tughtekin, Nur al-Din, Shirkuh, Saladin, Qutuz, Baybars, Shajar al-Durr, and Barsbay.
New Playable Civilizations
Japanese: Introduced as a new civilization, the Japanese offer unique units and abilities reflecting their rich history.
Byzantines: As a new addition, the Byzantines bring their own unique strategies and historical context to the battlefield.
Variant Civilizations
The expansion introduces four variant civilizations that re-imagine and revisit some of the factions from the main game, adding fresh strategic options and depth to the gameplay.
Additional Features
New Maps: Explore ten new maps that provide fresh tactical opportunities and new environments to conquer.
Unlockable Rewards: Earn and unlock rewards as you progress through missions and battles.
