Prepare for Street Fighter 6, the Latest Title in the Iconic Series

Are you ready for the latest installment of the iconic Capcom fighting Street Fighter series? As the year is progressing the Street Fighter 6 release is also nearing and the title is planned to become available worldwide on June 2nd, 2023. It is cool, shiny and ready to deliver the long-awaited hits and punches that have been promised on the next chapter of the favourite series. It is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The game has been masterfully integrated in Capcom’s RE ENGINE, so this time the experience is absolutely going to be really flashy and highly-detailed. The graphical aspects have been fine-tuned and perfected from the smallest moves and expressions, to the biggest combos and specials. It is all in sync with different voiced lines that the characters say to each other while brawling to make it even more dynamic and interesting.

So, let’s prepare for the cruise around Metro city, the battle hub awaits us and opponents are not going to defeat themselves! Get your gear in-check, do a few extra push-ups and join us on this path to becoming a world-class warrior!

You would be able to play as some of the most legendary martial arts masters and fan favorites such as Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li but also the newer ones such as Luke, Jamie, Kimberly and many more in this edition.

Each character features striking new redesigns and thrilling cinematic special moves.

Recent announcements included and confirmed some of the well-known names such as Zangief and Cammy but also a new one – Lily. This rounds up the full list of playable characters and so far it is as follows: Blanka, Chun-Li, Cammy, Dee Jay, Dhalsim, E. Honda, Guile, Jamie, JP, Juri, Ken, Kimberly, Lily, Luke, Manon, Marisa, Ryu and Zangief. While you might be more familiar with the participants from previous titles, we should give a few details of the newcomers as well!

Jamie is a professional dancer with some incredible acrobatic fighting style, he is known for his sense of justice and loyalty above all else, truly set onto the goal of protecting his city through his outstanding martial arts skills.

Kimberly is a ultra-intelligent prodigy and ninja-to-be with a openly expressed flare for 80s pop culture. She had a regular upbringing and actually managed to finish college quite early on in life, allowing her to explore the world of fighting and excel at it!

Marisa is a strong and powerful gladiator type of combatant, who has envisioned her glorious fighting career ever since she was a little child, feeling that she has an ancestral connection with some of the Greek warrior icons. She is from Italy and is also a prominent jewelry maker.

Manon is an established fashionista, her grace is her hidden weapon and she would show no mercy when she is in a fight, as her athletic abilities are to be admired, just like when she walks on the catwalk, while performing with the latest fashion. She seeks to become the first fighting model champion!

The NGO owner and investor JP has a lot to offer not only in business but in fights as well. He is a perfectionist not only in his ventures, but in the maintenance of his outfits, style and charisma. If you put a stain on his suit, he would be ruthless in defeating you!

Lily is a direct descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe and she is able to communicate with the spirits of nature as she receives some incredible powers. Regardless of her small size and petite posture she is definitely a force not to be reckoned with.

Now that we have taken a look at the new fighters, perhaps it is time to dwell deeper into the modes and controls. Street Fighter 6 has to offer three distinctive game modes including: World Tour, Fighting Ground and the Battle Hub.

Street Fighter 6 brings a highly evolved combat system featuring three different control types - Classic, Modern and Dynamic - allowing you to quickly pick the most fitting one and adapt it to your skill level. So whether you are a veteran in the franchise or a complete newcomer you would be able to quickly dive into the intense action.

Top the Fighting Ground

Retaining the traditional features of the Street Fighter series, this mode allows you to experience the latest versions of the popular characters and game modes from previous games with an up-to-date graphics and visuals.

Explore the completely new system to manage your resources called the Drive Gauge which is also introduced in this entry. Use it wisely enough in order to claim a definitive victory against your opponents. There are certain mechanics that come with it and they include: Drive Impact, Drive Parry, Overdrive, Drive Rush and Drive Reversal that could all be used and exploited during the intense battles and matches you dive in.

There is also a new Real-time commentary feature that adds the necessary explanations of the gameplay in an easy-to-understand manner well-mixed with the action allowing you to learn the ropes right from the start.

Street Exploration in World Tour

Understand the exact meaning of strength in the World Tour mode, a very immersive, single-player story-based mode. Create your own avatar and explore what Metro City has to offer and go even beyond. Interact with a variety of Masters who are going to train you and learn many of their fighting moves, techniques and style. That way you would be able to create a mixed set of skills and combinations that would compile your own unique style and fighting methods. Imagine having the strongest moves that the all-stars got, but in one character that you designed, sounds great, doesn’t it?

Look for Fights and Rivals in the Battle Hub

The third core mode of Street Fighter 6 is the Battle Hub, which represents a massive arena where players can gather and communicate and become even stronger as they are building up their levels together.

Use the avatar you create in World Tour to check out different matches on the Battle Hub floor and fight against other players, or head over to the Game Center to enjoy some of the Street Fighter 6 Capcom versions of the classic arcade game types that they included in this entry.
