The Star Wars: Jedi Survivor release date was pushed further with six weeks and is now set at April 28th and we are more than excited for it! It is going to drop on all major consoles PS5 / Xbox series S|X and including the PC of course. While the end of the month is surely not that far, we still got a few weeks that separate us from it! In this review we are going to have a closer look at what the title would offer to fans and how it continues the storyline set by its predecessor as the STAR WARS Games saga continues. 5 Years have passed since the previous adventure:

In these dark times in the STAR WARS series, with few allies and with all the odds against you there but a few things to do, but the most certain of all is to manage to survive and retain the hope even if it be slim! We may not be able to say everything has been going smoothly for Cal Kestis during the five years that have passed since we last saw him in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen order, but he has definitely grown in character, gained valuable experience, skills and has been able to further himself from a young Padawan on to becoming a powerful Jedi knight!

The adventures he had must have been really tough as he looks seasoned, wiser and more mature than before and it shows on his character skin, which is far more customizable this time around by the way, with lots of new outfits and even haircuts as well as other selectable options that you get to pick from!

Certainly the gap in the timeline will get some sort of coverage in the upcoming title and we would discover interesting moments that have happened, perhaps sporadic flashbacks or plot reveals by other returning and new characters that we were able to see in the various trailers for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Last time we saw of Cal was when had a near death encounter with Darth Vader himself and was able to escape with his crew and had to decide on what to do with the Holocron that could reveal the locations of many force sensitive kids. He decided to destroy it and head on to the new adventures with it, which ultimately costs him the chance of rebuilding the Jedi Order anew.

Now he is no longer afraid of his identity and is ready to do things the slow and hard way, but with greater chances of success as he would not put in danger innocent lives. He is not yet completely able to go around without looking behind his shoulder, as the hunt and bounty on him are still very much active, but with his new confidence and powers things would be much easier to handle and navigate through!

Bigger, more detailed planet worlds to discover and explore:

Being launched on the latest and current generation of consoles the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor release is going to offer some much more detailed and vaster worlds to go through. With the more power under the hood of new consoles better graphics and ray tracing are now available and it really looks impressive in that department!

Having more distances to cover requires some welcomed additions of various mounts on land and even air, yes that is right, you did read correctly you are getting the chance to glide with a space pterodactyl and how cool is that? In other locations you are going to ride some familiar vehicles from the movies in exciting chases with enemies!

Climbing has never been easier too, as you get to use a new grappling hook as well and it is quite useful for reaching some more distant or hard-to-get cliffs and edges! Wall runs and lightsaber drop downs to safety are also included and improved so that your platforming experience is even further enhanced.

Want even faster moves and transits? The new quick travel system has got you covered; it would allow you to get to multiple different locations, although not wherever you would like it to as it is limited to special transport points!

Features that we would get with this entry:

Speaking of new introductions and abilities we could absolutely be sure that there would be new exciting features to enjoy! The developers have promised new gear, lightsaber stances and styles that include single blade, dual blade, staff twin blade and two completely new ones that have the heaviest hitting moves with the most damage and another one that combines a lightsaber and blaster together to be used at the same time to cover greater range and still have close combat control over the encounters.

Both the established and newly added skill trees would include tricks and abilities to learn that would boost your stats, as you are able to switch between two different styles at once and when necessary or depending on your enemies at any given moment to select other more appropriate ones to exploit and win battles with!

The variety of opponents and foes has been increased greatly:

Whilst some of the more familiar troopers and droids, typical in the Star Wars series, are included in this entry just like the previous one, there have been many new additions to the enemy ranks to fight off against and their numbers have been increased as you are now more adept to decimate them with the new powers and abilities you got! Stronger robots, more vicious and ruthless bounty hunters and of course the inquisitors of the Empire are all after you, trying to stop you on your objectives.

Some new mighty creatures and monsters have also been designed and included so that you have the chance to perform great feats in defeating them, and from the looks of the trailers we got for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor there are a few gigantic ones that did not exactly fit on the screen, as well as others that seemed quite aggressive and ferocious.

Extras that would spark your attention and highly-customizable aspects:

Also included are Jedi Chambers that are optional levels in which not only you train your skills and acrobatics, but are able to gain new goodies along the way. There are traps to overcome and mechanics to try out before you go into the real action of battles, so that you are better prepared and more experienced when necessary to use them on the field in this entry of the Star Wars series.

These chambers are absolutely optional and would not affect your progression, but when explored your time and efforts would be greatly rewarded with some new parts, skins and extras that you really would like to include in your inventory and get a more distinct look for your arsenal, saber or outfit! These perks will make the gameplay better and add variety of your looks and aesthetics, so try not to miss out on them if possible!

More than double the size and undisclosed features:

While the previous game was amounting to 55 GB, this time you would have to spare more than 130 GB of disk space in order to enjoy the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This would certainly include a lot of things and surely will bring more incredible action, level graphics and so far not announced features that we got no info of.

The story has been cryptic and unclear as to who the main antagonist is this time or where the plot would go to, but no matter the specifics our prognosis is that the grip of the title is strong and immense as with the mind tricks in the footage has given us we can’t say anything less than to express our pure fascination and excitement about it! After all with such a volume there could be lots more that we do not even expect or imagine, so we would have to await the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor release date to finally and fully immerse ourselves in the adventure!
