As for the hardware department, there is also quite a bit of new tech gadgets that we should be looking forward to very soon!
Want to find out all about it? Read on and let’s get right to it!
The Upcoming Post-apocalyptic MMO shooter PIONER announced an Early Access date
The popular Post-apocalyptic first-person MMO shooter Pioner has finally been given an Early Access launch date for 16.12.2025. The upcoming game has garnered more than 500,000 wishlist entries by players and is about to be released for Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, however it is not entirely clear yet whether it would be available in early access mode for the whole range of gaming consoles or just for the Windows PC via Steam.
Set in the mysterious Soviet-era on the island of Tartarus, it comes to a bit over 50 square kilometers in world size. Developed and published by the studio GFAGAMES, the title would combine both intense PvE and dynamic PvP action, all delivered through a player-driven narrative with a variety of featured faction missions, dangerous hidden dungeons as well as diverse environments and biomes. Pioner would also allow for impressive weapon customization features with more than 37 different ones presented on the game’s official website. They all would go along quite nicely with the implemented mechanics and survival elements and a very interesting item crafting system.
With the Early Access date already announced, the title’s launch day is coming nearer and nearer so make sure that you cover the recommended system requirements for this one and jump right in the utter chaos it has to present you with! Let’s now roam back to the ruins of another location you probably are familiar with….
Resident Evil Requiem has now Passed the 3 Million Wishlists Mark
The survival horror game Resident Evil Requiem blasted through the crowd with a big bang and has now surpassed 3 million Wishlist entries by players – not even six months after the official reveal for the title on June 6th, 2025. Resident Evil Requiem is going to be available on 27.02.26 for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 and it would be the 9th mainline entry in the Capcom series, following after Resident Evil Village.
The title is going to bring players back to the ruins of an infamous location with such a great importance for the Resident Evil series - Raccoon City, located in Arklay County, a very isolated area in the Midwestern United States, which got completely destroyed during the t-Virus outbreak in 1998, an event that occurred during the end of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
The story of the game this time would be centered around Grace Ashcroft, a technical analyst at the FBI that gets dispatched to investigate strange occurrence cases at locations that actually are tied to be the very site of her mother’s death 8 years before that.
The gameplay would allow players to enjoy the terrors in a few ways since they could switch between first-person and third-person perspectives at any time during the events of the story, and of course Resident Evil Requiem would offer some truly horrific moments at incredible visual quality since it is built on the RE Engine, just like all the other main Resident Evil titles since the 2017 hit Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Truly gripping stuff as per usual from the RE franchise, but we are now heading elsewhere!
Krafton has Announced the Extraction Shooter Game PUBG: Black Budget
PUBG: Black Budget will have its first Closed Alpha test with two public sessions starting from 12-14.12.2025 and then another one between 19-21.12.2025. Each of these gaming session attempts could last up to 30 minutes and would support squads of up to 3 players, with a grand total of 45 players per session.
Developed by PUBG Corporation, this coming game is set to be available for Windows PC and offers support for Russian, English, Chinese and Korean languages. Players are going to take on the role of a Contractor, a veteran tasked with the mission of recovering secret technology from an abandoned facility on an island affected by a supernatural event called the Anomaly. Players would need to work together on extracting artifacts, researching findings and uncovering the secrets of the Spaines initiative. In between missions, players would have the option to greatly expand their personal base, craft important equipment and further enhance their skills.
Key features of the title would include a 2.5 × 2.5 km open-world area with a shrinking playable zone, a decent variety of biomes and points of interest, level and squad-based matchmaking, difficulty scaling based on player experience and even a system of three rivaling factions offering you with different contracts and types of rewards. Additionally, there are many more customization options for the playable characters and equipment to obtain. Going onward to a DLC that you should not miss out on!
Elden Ring: Nightreign Announced the Forsaken Hollows DLC Release Date
Developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco, Elden Ring: Nightreign has managed to surpass more than 5 million globally sold copies in less than two months and during this month’s State of Play Japan it was announced that Elden Ring: Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows DLC is going to be available on 04.12.2025 and the expansion would have two completely new playable characters, coming along with a couple of powerful bosses as well.
One of these upcoming heroic characters is Scholar, an academic who walks the Lands Between, distinct with his arcane levels of might. The second one is Undertaker, an abbess that has been mandated to slay the Nightlord, notable for impressive faith and deadly strength.
Directed by Junya Ishizaki, who has also worked as a designer on game series such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne, Elden Ring: Nightreign features a shrinking gameplay area that resets each time players defeat the minor boss at the end of every in-game day, it is playable in duos, trios, and even solo, coming with individual storylines called Remembrances for each of the playable Nightfarers. This brings us to the bad news for this month’s YUPLAY recap, namely:
There Was Another Delay For the GTA VI Release Date
Grand Theft Auto VI got postponed once more and for almost a whole year this time. Until recently it was scheduled to get a 26.05.2026 release, but the newly announced release date earlier this month is sadly pushed all the way to 19.11.2026. It all happened on the dreadful day of 6.11.2025 just after Take-Two had fired about 40 of their UK and Canadian employees for allegedly distributing strictly confidential details and information about GTA VI in a public online forum.
The official social media post on the platform X from Rockstar Games states that the delay would allow the devs to “finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.” While the quote uses somewhat vague wording in order to defend the almost year-long extension, Grand Theft Auto VI is still one of the most anticipated video games in the industry within the last ten years, even though it is not going to see summer release we all hoped for.
Naturally, Rockstar Games is facing strong pushback from both upset fans and former employees through unionization, especially after the aforementioned firing spree occurred. While players were crushed by the news, the released employees started to protest outside of the UK branch offices, denying the claims of leaking any company secrets or information regarding GTA VI and claiming that the lay-offs were lacking proper evidence.
The Newest tech gadgets for Steam are here
Valve announced a whole new range of Steam hardware following the success of the Steam Deck. The presented lineup featured three new products, all designed for gaming with Steam, scheduled to be released in early 2026.
The first product on the list, the new Steam Controller, allows users to play any Steam game, including the ones that are not originally designed for controllers. It includes established features from the Steam Deck such as trackpads, gyro controls and back buttons, all in an extra ergonomic design. The controller has a set of next-generation magnetic thumb sticks for fully responsive gameplay control as well as capacitive touch sensors on the thumb sticks and back for precision aiming. It comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasting more than 30 hours, paired with a unique Puck charging system, which acts as a wireless adapter and magnetic charger. The Steam Controller is compatible with any device that runs Steam or Steam Link.
The second previewed product, the Steam Machine, is a compact yet very powerful gaming PC meant for big-screen gaming. It is six times more powerful than the Steam Deck and operates incredibly quietly. Equipped with a semi-custom AMD GPU, it can deliver 4K gaming at 60 frames per second with ease. The Steam Machine runs on Steam OS, optimized for a living room or office usage and maintains the line of features found on the Steam Deck like the quick sleep and wake functions and an SD card slot for additional storage expansion. It includes a customizable LED strip for displaying different system statuses or even customized personal light shows. It is designed to work extremely well with the Steam Controller, which is fully-integrated to it for low-latency wireless gameplay. Additionally, it supports streaming to various devices.
The final third product in the presentation, the Steamframe, is Valve’s newest VR hardware, allowing for wireless streaming of Steam games, including both VR and non-VR titles. The headset uses a camera-based tracking system for easy access and comes with its own set of controllers that feature motion control and capacitive tracking for finger inputs. The controllers also use the same magnetic thumb sticks as the Steam Controller for enhanced durability and responsiveness. Steamframe has a wireless adapter for smooth game streaming from a PC via fast Wi-Fi 6 feature. The headset supports high-resolution streaming optimized for the user's view and can also run VR and non-VR games directly, with the expandable storage options available in it.
All the three products - Steam Controller, Steam Machine and Steamframe - are built upon the already existing technology of the Steam Deck and are designed to work seamlessly with each other as a line of solutions. The development of such hardware strongly reflects on Valve’s previous experiences and their desires for the gaming industry, since they aim to truly enhance PC gaming in an open ecosystem, providing more options for players to enjoy existing games and discover many new ones through this hardware. It is claimed that the Steam Controller, Steam Machine, and Steamframe would all become available at the start of next year and we simply cannot wait to check them out further.
With so much to look forward to, we are thrilled to welcome 2026 already, but there is still a whole month left before that and we have already prepared lots of outstanding promotions, charts, game reviews and holiday spirit, so stay with us and find out what our team has got in store for you!
