Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Got New Upgrades and a Whole Class with Patch 12
Patch 12 for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released on February 26th 2026 for the Windows PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This update follows up on the recent Patch 11, which introduced new content and improvements to the game. The expectations for Patch 12 include a very important new Space Marine class, along with other cool features that were outlined in the roadmap.
Patch 12 features a new PvE mission titled "Disruption" and introduces the Techmarine class. This class comes with their own unique abilities, such as the Servo-Gun for crowd control and the ability to activate Tarantula Sentry Guns. The Techmarine has been designed specifically for a more mixed combat style but heavily leans towards melee as a preference, focusing on area-of-effect attacks. The class would have access to various weapon options, including multiple types of rifles, pistols and melee items, such as the exclusive Omnissian Axe, which offers wider AoE attacks.
Additionally, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Patch 12 provides players with 20 new battlefield stratagems and a voice pack DLC. The Year Pass introduces new cosmetic packs, specifically the Raven Guard Champion Pack and the Carcharodons Cosmetic Pack. However, tweaks and improvements for the Tactical and Vanguard classes, mentioned in Patch 11, would not be arriving in this 12th Update, as the team is prioritizing the Techmarine class for this release.
More cool updates and balance changes are surely expected to arrive soon, reflecting more on the player feedback and promised content that we did not get from the previous updates. Saber also shared more information about the Techmarine class through gameplay videos and patch notes.
Tactical Roguelite Fleet Survival Coming to PCs in 2026 with Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is a tactical roguelite game scheduled to be released for the PC in Q2 of 2026. Developed by Alt Shift and published by Dotemu, the game would place players in command of a Colonial Gunstar during the Second Cylon War, following the destruction of the Twelve Colonies. Players would guide a civilian fleet through the dangerous depths of space while evading the pursuing Cylons, turning each move or jump into a risky endeavor. A free demo is already available for those interested in trying out the game earlier.
In the game, you take on the role of a Gunstar Captain, actively working to protect a group of survivors and still manage to respond to Admiral Adama’s call for help. The game reflects on the television series, emphasizing survival over victory as your fleet faces a constant barrage of threats and various resource shortages. Players would encounter different types of narrative events between the battles that would require them to manage with what limited resources they got and navigate through the conflicts between civilians and military factions, while also dealing with the potential danger of Cylon infiltrators among the crew members.
Scattered Hopes consists of two main gameplay phases: Fleet Management and Combat. During the Fleet Management phase, players have a finite number of turns to repair their ship, upgrade squadrons, train officers, and gather supplies. Actions taken during this phase take time, and lingering too long can put the fleet at risk of being caught by the Cylons. Players must make critical decisions, weighing immediate solutions against risky missions that may lead to worse outcomes.
When the management period ends, the game shifts to the Combat phase, featuring real-time battles with a tactical pause option. Players must protect civilian ships while calculating faster-than-light jumps, with Cylon forces typically outnumbering them. Success requires strategic use of weapons and squadrons, with any combat losses impacting the later management phase.
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes includes multiple roguelite elements, allowing for repeated gameplay with procedurally generated events. Players can use a meta currency named Fate, to unlock new ship types, squadrons and even hero traits. The game is going to feature seven factions, each offering their own unique benefits.
The recently released demo allows players to navigate through the early levels and even go against a boss, with their progress carrying over to the full game if successful. The game aims to provide a new experience of survival against the Cylon threat, similar to previous titles like FTL and Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock.
Frontier Legends Promises a Wild West Survival Game - Early Access Coming in Spring 2026
Frontier Legends, developed and published by NeoJac Entertainment Inc, is an upcoming open-world game set in the Wild West and it effectively combines survival, crafting and exploration into a single title. In this game, players arrive by train as new settlers and must create a life from scratch. Even though the final release date is still to be determined, with the Frontier Legends Steam page currently showing a “Coming soon.” notice, it is expected to arrive some time in Spring 2026. There are also rumored reports that Neojac also plans for a demo to be released soon and it should probably be expected at some point in March.
The game would primarily focus on building homes in a very tough environment and involves different basic survival elements, while at the same time hinting towards deeper storylines beyond just dealing with bandits. The core idea of the gameplay promotes adventure through resource management and discovering your own place in the West.
The developers are likely preparing the demo, which would include new worker NPCs, early town management features, and improved building options. This suggests that players will be able to create fully-functional towns rather than just decorative models. Frontier Legends promises a mix of survival and exploration, with tons of plot potential and it is not a surprise that excitement for the game evolves as we are nearing the Early Access period.
Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss Is the Latest Lovecraftian Investigation Thriller
Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is a hyped-up upcoming investigation game scheduled to be released on April 16th 2026, by Big Bad Wolf and published by Nacon for the Windows PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game is deeply rooted in Lovecraftian horror and lore, so it is projected to follow a structured detective thriller format.
The story is going to take place in 2053, as corporations are exploiting the ocean's depths for valuable resources. The main character, Noah, an investigator of the occult has been sent to a mining station in the abyss that has mysteriously gone silent for some unknown reason. As Noah investigates, he uncovers information details that transition the gameplay from a corporate disaster investigation to a cosmic horror involving R’lyeh - an ancient underwater city that was thought to be lost.
Noah is assisted by an AI named Key, which establishes both a practical and unsettling partnership between the two, as deeper exploration makes reality feel even more and more uncertain. The game highlights the importance of Noah’s mental state, indicating that resisting Cthulhu's madness would be a crucial part of the experience, alongside the evidence collection.
The latest Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss trailer emphasizes gameplay features such as clue gathering and observation, showcasing that players would solve mysterious cases rather than simply experience scares and terrors. The game deals with a lot of puzzles and deduction skills as players navigate through the complex environments, promising a somewhat slower but much more atmospheric journey into horrors, where each discovery could threaten Noah's sanity further. The anticipation now rests on the potential depth of the investigation mechanics and exploration of R’lyeh.
