Latest Monster Hunter Wilds Update in Collab with Stories 3

Last month, Yo Sujioto, the Monster Hunter series producer talked about the new and upcoming title’s Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection release date, which is coming on March 13th 2026, along with sharing the latest about Monster Hunter Wilds updates and the special collaboration event between the two titles.

When it came out last year at the same time, the Monster Hunter Wilds Steam page has definitely been firmly classified among the franchises that keeps on giving more and more to the fans. After the previously released major content drop in Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 4, this next-gen title has already started to form its own expansions, which are expected to come out later this year or perhaps early on in 2027.

The great thing is that Title Update 4 does not actually mean the final end for the base version of Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay. There is a very special upcoming crossover planned, a collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and with it you could unlock two additional sets of cosmetics.

When speaking of Capcom, one thing is for sure, they absolutely adore doing crossover events and formats that are in many cases quite captivating. To properly promote the third major game entry to its Monster Hunter Stories series. This time the event is going to offer players an intriguing collaboration with another very beloved Monster Hunter game.

A strategy quite similar to the previous collaborations with Capcom hit gaming titles Street Fighter 6, Okami, Devil May Cry and even Resident Evil that have all happened in other Monster Hunter entries, these special occasions typically grant players with free cosmetics that are based on characters from other of their favorite games, so let’s find out what we are getting this time!

The Included Cosmetics in Monster Hunter Wilds x Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Event

There would be 2 main rewards for players to unlock and obtain in the upcoming event: the ‘egg-cellent’ Chatacabra pendant and the Rudy-inspired Palico armor.

The Chatacabra pendant would give you a tiny egg near your weapon that is able to close and open, thus revealing to you the adorable Chatacabra that is placed inside of it. While the Palico armor is directly inspired from one of the main characters in Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection - Rudy. Just as it was for Navirou in Monster Hunter Stories 2, Rudy would be your lifelong companion all throughout the entire game.

How Can you Unlock the Chatacabra Pendant and Rudy Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom has still not provided very specific details about the event yet, but we believe that the newest cosmetics might be unlocked with the use of special Event Quests. Going through such Event Quests would reward the players with the necessary resources to have the ability to craft them with the help of Gemma - the Smithy. Although there is also the option that they could decide to simply give them both away for free when you log in the title.

It is highly likely that both new cosmetics would be entirely free of charge, just like it was for previous such cosmetics like the Akuma skin in the aforementioned Street Fighter 6 Collab, which kind of established the free giveaway tradition for every collab onwards. Another possibility could be that these skins could be unlocked for players that already own Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.

We know that it would all be available during the Arch-Tempered Arkveld update, that is scheduled for February 2026, alongside other gameplay improvements and additions such as the planned Latin American Spanish voice option, since it was also recently announced in an official showcase of upcoming features and additions.

In the planned for February 2026 update, the Arch-tempered Arkveld is going to appear as the final Arch-tempered Monster. By now the team is surely in the final stages of necessary checks to ensure these updates, improvements and special events really improve the overall gaming experience for all players without affecting any other existing features and configurations.
